Terms and Conditions
§ 1 Registration, Cost and Payment
1 Registration for a cooking class can be done via the Registration Form on the website of the Thai Banyan Restaurant Cooking School "www.thai-Banyan.com" or in person at the restaurant. The customer will initially receive a Registration Confirmation. After course fee payment is completed, the customer will then receive a Participation Confirmation.
2 The price of 80.00€ per course / per participant includes VAT. Due to organizational reasons the course fee is to be paid in full either in advance at the time of registration or no later than 14 days prior to course begin.
§ 2 Services and Benefits
1 The organizer reserves the right, due to unforeseen circumstances, to change either the cooking course menu or dates. The Thai Banyan Cooking School also reserves the right to make minor changes to the program in a reasonable manner for the customer, such as substituting certain menu dishes, due to, for example, lack of special ingredients etc. It is agreed upon, that both parties accept this clause without claims to be made on the part of the participants.
2 The course fee includes all food and ingredients, non-alcoholic drinks (water, soft drinks, etc.), as well as the use of cooking utensils. Generally a cooking course will last approximately 3 to 4 hours. The minimum number of participants per course is 6 persons.
§ 3 Changes and Refunds
1 If the minimum number of 6 participants is not reached, the organizer reserves the right to cancel the course up to 5 days before course begin. In this case a full reimbursement of the already paid course fees will take place. Both parties agree that claims of any kind on the part of the students will be excluded / not accepted. An immediate written or telephone notification of course cancelation will be given.
§ 4 Cancellation
In the case of cancellation on the part of the customer / participant up to 14 days before course begin, the participant will receive a refund option: either a gift certificate in the same course amount or free rebooking to another cooking class date. In either case, a fee of 10.00€ will be levied. In the case of cancellation on the part of the customer / participant less than 14 days before the course begin, 50% of the course fee will be due / retained. In case of cancellation on the part of the customer / participant less than 7 days before course begin or for no-shows, any claim will be void and no refund paid out. The customer can substitute another “third-person participant”, that is, the customer has at any time the right to transfer its registration / participation to another person.
§ 5 Individual / Self-Organized Group Events
1 Exceptions and differences for individual / self-organized groups: for private or company groups, the minimum number of participants is 6 people. By booking an „Individual Group Cooking Course” a deposit of 50% of the total invoice must be paid within 5 working days after confirmation of registration has taken place. Final payment is due 14 days prior to course begin.
2 Cancellation of the self-organized group cooking course on the part of the customer / participant can take place without charge no later than 15 days prior to the course date. For shorter-term cancellations, fees will be charged pursuant to the following schedule:
Cancellation up to 14 days before the course date: 25%
Cancellation up to 7 days before the course date: 50%
Cancellation up to 3 days before the course date: 100%
§ 6 House Rules
The course teachers maintain and enforce the house rules. Instructions from the chef cooks are to be obeyed. Within the premises of the Thai Banyan Cooking School, there is a general ban on smoking. However, outdoor smoking during break-time is permitted.
§ 7 Gift Certificates
For the above-mentioned courses gift certificates can be issued / bought online or in the restaurant.
